Interest Rate – Interest rate is a percentage that a borrower pays to a lender for borrowing money. We all pay interest rates on a car loan, a mortgage, etc… Interest Rate is controlled by the Federal Reserve Bank under Monetary Policy.
Stocks tend to do better in a low interest rate environment like we have right now and stocks tend to have the opposite reaction when interest rate is high.
